Today on 14th October 2017, The celebration of Diwali ,'The festival of lights' came alive at The Scholars Valley, during Diwali Celebration Week.
The school organized “Diya Decoration, Rangoli Making, Aarti Recitation, Chanting of Shlokas Activity”. All the students from classes 1st to 8th took part in the activity enthusiastically. The rangoli done by students added the perfect setting to the festivity. The things were decorated very beautifully. The Director & Principal lit the lamp to begin the assembly on the auspicious occasion. Some of the students chanted Shlokas and Mantras which brought out the essence of the festival -celebration of life and goodness. During recitation, the atmosphere became quite meditative. Students talked about the significance of the festival - how good always conquered the evil and also about why and how Diwali is celebrated across India. The assembly concluded with Principal Sir giving away the message of a clean, peaceful and a bright Diwali.
Students of The Scholars Valley Pre-primary Section (Playgroup, Nursery, KG) & 1st, 2nd participated in the “Fancy Dress” competition which was held on 6th October, 2017.
It was the most awaited event of the year, as it is always a pleasure to watch the toddlers dressed up as different characters. It was overwhelming to see our little ones speaking confidently. This activity helped the students of the pre-primary section to overcome their stage fear, bring out their inner talent, give them a platform to build their self-confidence and explore their inner strength.
The event took place in the school multipurpose hall. All the Tiny Tots of PG to 2nd participated in the show enthusiastically.
The dynamic show concluded with the encouraging words of the Principal, Mr. Amit Sehgal who lauded the admiral performances of the tiny tots, and the teachers for the success of the event. Everybody enjoyed the event.
With an objective to recapitulate and reinforce the effects of yellow colour, Pre-Primary and Primary (1st & 2nd) Wing celebrated “Yellow day” on 25th July, 2017.
A day dedicated to the yellow colour was marked with children dressed in different hues and tints of yellow. Children were not only beautifully dressed in their favorite yellow dresses but also brought yellow objects to make it a complete “Yellow Day”!
Tiffins were filled with bananas, custard, jelly, lemons, mangoes, pineapples etc. Attractive yellow coloured toys like racing cars, teddy bears, dolls, balls, balloons, flying discs, flowers and masks made the learning environment active and sporty.
Cheerful Children attired in yellow outfits were sparkling with optimism, enlightenment and happiness. Beams of yellow shades carried the promise of a positive future flashing creative thoughts in the young minds.
The motive of celebrating this yellow colour day was to make the children aware of yellow colour, its significance and to develop fine motor skills in the students. They spent the day with utmost enjoyment.
